PWM charge controller
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) type charge controllers regulate charging by cutting the current from the panel to the battery at short intervals. Because of their simple structure, they are often used in small systems. The catalog includes the TommaTech 45 A 12/24 V 2 USB PWM charge controller.

Selection criteria
- Battery voltage: Must be suitable for working in a 12 V or 24 V system.
- Panel compatibility: With PWM, the panel's nominal voltage is chosen to match the battery voltage; otherwise efficiency drops.
- Current: The panel's short-circuit current must not exceed the device's 45 A limit.
- USB output: Can be practical for charging small devices such as phones.
