What is a heat pump?
A heat pump is a device that moves heat from the outside environment to the inside to provide heating, cooling and hot water production. Because it can produce several times more heat energy than the electricity it consumes, it makes sense to consider it together with solar energy systems. Solar Nexo supplies the TommaTech heat pumps in the catalog.
Product groups
- Residential heat pumps: Titan, Power and Triome series; for home heating, cooling and domestic water. Models with R32 and R290 refrigerants are available.
- Pool heat pumps: Aquavera series; for private and commercial swimming pools.
Selection criteria
- The area to be heated or cooled and the required kW capacity
- Mono-phase or three-phase electrical connection
- Refrigerant type (R32, R290)
- Pool volume, hours of use and cover use
- Placement: ventilation and noise comfort for the outdoor unit
Use in Antalya
Mild winters and long hot summers shape the region's air conditioning and pool needs. The consumption of heat pumps running during the day can overlap with rooftop solar generation. To plan together with an on-grid or hybrid system, you can contact us.
Points to note
Heat pump efficiency depends on building insulation and the temperature level of the distribution system. Low-temperature systems such as underfloor heating are generally more compatible. In pool applications, the pool cover and filtration hours should also be planned.
The region's winter design temperature and the way the building is used form the basis of device selection. In buildings with high heat loss where a heat pump alone is not enough, an auxiliary system may be considered. In the first season after installation, settings are reviewed against actual use.
On the electrical side, the cable cross-section and fuse must be chosen to suit the device's rated current.
When choosing the outdoor unit's location, practical matters such as distance to the neighboring building, noise level and snow-rain drainage are also reviewed. These details determine long-term comfort of use.
