The inverter is the heart of the system
The inverter converts the direct current (DC) produced by solar panels into alternating current (AC) that can be used at home and at work, and it also takes on the monitoring and protection functions of the system. Besides on-grid, hybrid, smart off-grid and agricultural irrigation inverters, the catalog includes their accessories.
Inverter types
- On-grid inverters: They operate connected to the grid and have no battery. Single-phase (Uno) and three-phase (Trio) options are available.
- Hybrid inverters: They manage panels, battery and grid together; suitable for backup power during outages.
- Smart inverters: Off-grid products that run with batteries in places with no grid or a weak grid.
- Irrigation inverters: Designed to drive pumps directly with solar energy; used together with control panels.
Selection criteria
- Grid connection: single-phase or three-phase
- The ratio between output power and installed panel power
- Number of MPPTs and DC input voltage range
- If a battery will be used, compatibility with a low-voltage or high-voltage system
- Monitoring, communication and expansion needs
Applications in Antalya
Single-phase connections are common in homes, and three-phase connections in villas, hotels and agricultural businesses. For the short grid outages often seen in the region, hybrid systems can be considered, and for garden and field use, irrigation systems.
Sizing notes
Inverter power alone is not a sufficient criterion; its ratio to panel power, ambient temperature, cable length and grid conditions are evaluated together. If needed, headroom is left for adding panels or batteries later.
Each inverter type has different maintenance needs. In models with fans, dust build-up may require periodic cleaning. When remote monitoring is on, production drops are noticed early and it is clear in advance whether a site visit is needed.
