What does a hybrid inverter do?
A hybrid inverter first gives the energy from the panels to consumption, stores the surplus in the battery and draws support from the grid when needed. When the grid is cut, in some models it continues to supply selected loads through the emergency supply (EPS) output. The catalog includes the single-phase Uno Hybrid and the three-phase Trio Hybrid and F series models.
Subcategories
- Single-phase low voltage: For homes with a single-phase subscription; compatible with low-voltage batteries.
- Three-phase low voltage: Works with low-voltage battery packs in three-phase facilities.
- Three-phase high voltage: Pairs with high-voltage modular batteries; used in medium and large capacity systems.
Selection criteria
- Subscription type (single-phase or three-phase)
- Total power of the loads to be backed up and their inrush currents
- Battery type and capacity expansion plan
- Need for auxiliary accessories such as parallel operation and an EPS box
Antalya context
In regions that experience voltage fluctuations and short outages in the summer peak, a hybrid system is preferred both for uninterrupted supply and for using the daytime surplus in the evening. Which one suits you is determined by load analysis.
System design
In a hybrid system, the loads to be backed up are listed first; then the total power of these loads and the night-time consumption are calculated. This analysis determines both the inverter power and the battery capacity. Features such as automatic changeover time during a grid outage should be checked on the product pages.
If battery capacity will be increased in the future, the maximum number of modules the inverter supports and the parallel operation options are checked from the start. Electricity tariff and grid interaction settings are also configured during commissioning.
The decision whether to back up the whole house or only critical lines directly affects both the panel layout and the product choice.
Solar Nexo
In hybrid systems, Solar Nexo makes a compatible selection of inverter, battery and accessories, installs and commissions them, and provides technical support afterwards.
