What is the TommaTech 8.4 kW R32 Power Series Heat Pump (Single-Phase)?
The TommaTech 8.4 kW R32 Power Series Heat Pump (Single-Phase) is a monoblock heat pump that collects heat energy from the air and transfers it to the building. It provides heating, cooling and hot water using electricity from the grid or from the home's solar energy system. Because it has no indoor unit, installation is quick. It runs on R32 refrigerant; R32 models differ from the R290-based siblings in the same series by refrigerant type.
Key technical specifications
- Capacity and supply: 8.4 kW, single-phase mains
- Refrigerant: R32
- Construction: Monoblock; no indoor unit
- Control: 5-inch control panel
- Smart grid: communication with the TommaTech solar energy system via SG (Smart Grid)
- Efficiency: A+++ energy efficiency rating based on the temperature values
Which projects is it suitable for?
- Detached house and villa: year-round comfort with radiators, underfloor heating or fan coils.
- Homes with solar power: users who want to use daytime rooftop production for heating and hot water.
- Medium-sized homes and apartments: those looking for a compact outdoor unit in limited space.
Use in Antalya and Solar Nexo support
In Antalya, winter heating is short and mild while the summer air-conditioning load lasts long; since this 8.4 kW model both heats and cools, it can be used all year round. Near the coast, salty humidity and ventilation clearance should be taken into account when placing the outdoor unit. Solar Nexo provides supply, design, installation and technical support, from heat-load calculation and product selection to hydraulic connection and commissioning. The datasheet and certificates can be downloaded from this page.
Things to consider before installation
A heat pump's efficiency depends on correct capacity selection and hydraulic design. The building's heat loss, the operating temperature of the existing heat emitter (radiator, underfloor heating, fan coil), the placement of the outdoor unit and the capacity of the electrical panel are checked during the site survey. Solar Nexo does not recommend a model without this data; this way the unit ends up neither under- nor over-sized for the need.
