Which projects is it suitable for?
It is one of the suitable entry-level powers for small and medium-sized homes. With 200% PV support, it is possible to match panel capacity of up to 8 kWp (within design limits). The rapid shutdown feature is valuable in rooftop projects with high safety requirements. Backup power and generator compatibility are also an advantage for outage-sensitive places.
In sizing, panel capacity for a 4 kW inverter is selected according to roof orientation and tilt; the three MPPT inputs make it easier to connect roof sections facing different directions to separate strings.
