What is TOPCon N-Type?
TOPCon is a cell architecture that uses a passivation layer on an N-type silicon cell. This structure aims to increase panel efficiency and reduce light-related first-year losses. The TommaTech modules in the catalog are distinguished by codes such as 108TN, 108TNB and 144TNB; there are the M10 format and dual-glass (G2G) variants.
Who is it suitable for?
- Homes and workplaces that want more power from limited roof area
- Commercial and land projects considering dual-glass modules that also collect energy from the rear side
- Medium and large-scale facilities to be paired with high DC power class inverters
Points to look at when choosing
- Cell count and size: 108-cell modules are easier to carry on the roof; 144-cell ones reach a higher power class.
- Glass structure: The difference between single glass and dual glass is evaluated according to weight and ground reflection expectations.
- Electrical compatibility: Open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current must be checked against the inverter input limits.
- Mounting system: The tile, trapezoidal sheet, standing seam or ground mounting structure must suit the panel frame.
Assessment for Antalya
In a region that reaches high temperature levels in summer, the temperature coefficient of N-type modules and a ventilated mounting layout stand out for production. In land-based plants, ground reflection also affects the contribution of dual-glass modules.
Mounting and system compatibility
Because there are multiple power classes in the same category, the number of panels to be connected in series is determined according to the inverter's voltage window. Because of half-cut cells and multi-busbar structures, the fixing points on the panel frame should be used in line with the manufacturer's installation guide. During the survey, roof orientation, tilt and possible shading are also recorded.
