TommaTech Diamond Plus Solar Panels

Diamond Plus series

Diamond Plus consists of TommaTech modules coded 108TN that use large M12-format cells. Power classes such as 610, 615 and 620 Wp are listed in the catalog. The series is designed especially for projects that aim for high power per module in commercial rooftop and ground installations.

Areas of use

• Commercial and industrial roofs
• Irrigation and business energy facilities on agricultural land
• Ground-mounted plants of sub-MW and larger scale

Technical selection criteria

• Current level: M12-cell modules can produce higher current; the inverter's MPPT input current limit must be checked.
• String design: The number of modules in series is determined so as to also cover the open-circuit voltage that rises in cold weather.
• Mounting structure: The large module size directly affects profile spacing and the choice of support points.
• Logistics: Pallet-based delivery and an on-site unloading and handling plan should be prepared in advance.

Local conditions

Antalya has different land types such as greenhouse farming, citrus orchards and tourism facilities. For each of them, slope, shade and ground structure are evaluated separately; large-format panels should be chosen after this evaluation.

Planning for large projects

In commercial and land projects, as the number of modules grows, cabling, string fuses and the monitoring infrastructure grow too. For this reason, panel selection is handled together with inverter and mounting structure selection. The row spacing is also determined according to module dimensions; this limits mutual shading in the morning and evening hours.

Because of pallet size and weight, the access road to the site and the need for a crane or forklift are clarified before delivery.

In ground systems, it is important for the lower edge of the panels to stay high enough above vegetation and snow build-up, for cleaning access and production. When installing near an irrigation line, attention is paid to connector placement against water splash.
