What is the TommaTech SNMP CRD Communication Box?
TommaTech SNMP CRD Communication Box (for Three-Phase) is a communication box that makes it possible to monitor and control multiple inverters over an RJ-45 connection. Designed for three-phase inverters, this SNMP CRD connects to the local network and carries inverter data to central systems using the SNMP protocol.
Among the features described by the manufacturer are a real-time dynamic graph of the inverters, audible alarm, broadcast, mobile and email alert notifications, SNMP traps, historical data logging stored in a central PC database, one-click software update, password-protected remote access and support for optional environmental monitoring detectors (temperature, humidity, smoke).
What projects is it suitable for?
Network-based monitoring is useful in these projects:
- Commercial and industrial facilities with multiple three-phase inverters installed
- Businesses that want central monitoring on an IT or management network
- Maintenance teams that require alarm and email notifications
Points to watch during installation
The communication box and the three-phase inverters must be on the same local network; IP addresses and SNMP details should be planned together with the network administrator. Default passwords must be changed, and if remote access will be used, firewall rules must be reviewed. Because three-phase installations involve several inverters, the addressing scheme should be settled from the start.
Use in Antalya and Solar Nexo support
In hotels, factories and greenhouse operations in Antalya, several inverters may run together; monitoring from a single box makes the maintenance team's job easier. If technical room conditions are to be monitored in summer heat, temperature and humidity detectors can optionally be considered.
Solar Nexo handles the communication box's network connection, IP configuration and monitoring settings during installation. Contact us for the product datasheet.
