EPDM Roof Tape

EPDM Roof Tape is a rubber sealing tape used at solar panel mounting points to reduce the passage of water, dust and air. It is preferred as an auxiliary material in installations where holes are drilled in the roof.

  • EPDM rubber material
  • Glossy, non-porous outer surface
  • Porous inner structure that returns to its original shape after being compressed

Where is EPDM roof tape used?

The outer surface of the tape is glossy and non-porous; this structure helps prevent the passage of water, dust and air. Because its inner side is porous, it compresses and settles against the surface when squeezed, and can return to its original form when loosened.

It is used for sealing under the support feet screwed to the roof surface and at connection points. In Antalya, the temperature difference between winter rain and summer heat moves roof components; elastic tape helps tolerate this movement. For correct placement, installation should be carried out by the Solar Nexo team.

In practice, the length and thickness of the tape are chosen according to the foot type; over-tightened tape can be permanently crushed, while under-tightened tape leaves gaps. This balance requires installation experience.

Ask a question
Is EPDM tape enough for roof sealing?

EPDM tape is an auxiliary product that supports sealing at screw and foot points; it does not replace roof waterproofing on its own. The mounting surface must be clean and dry. Solar Nexo determines the application method suited to your roof type during the site survey. For details, you can check the datasheet on the product page or contact the Solar Nexo team directly.
