Ready-made connection sets

High-current connections between battery and inverter must be prepared with the correct cross-section and tightening quality. The catalog includes connection sets such as a 30 cm series set between batteries, a 40 cm parallel set and a 1.5 m battery-to-inverter (smart) set. These sets shorten installation time and reduce the risk of overheating from the wrong cable cross-section.

Series vs. parallel connection

• Series connection: Adds the battery voltages; capacity (Ah) stays the same.
• Parallel connection: Increases capacity (Ah); voltage stays the same.

Selection criteria

• Length: Must suit battery placement and installation layout; a cable longer than necessary causes losses.
• Cable cross-section and current capacity: Determined by the system current.
• Terminal type: Must be compatible with the battery and inverter terminals.
• Brand compatibility: Choose the set according to the battery and inverter model it will be used with.

In high temperatures, high-current cables can heat up; this is why cross-section and connection quality are important. Adequate ventilation should be left in technical rooms.

Installation warnings

While making connections, the battery system must be off, the terminals clean and the tightening torques at the manufacturer's value. A loose connection leads to heating. If the sets are ordered according to the layout plan, there is no need to extend cables later.

Set lengths vary with the shelf layout and whether the batteries are side by side or stacked. Mixing batteries from different manufacturers in the same set should be avoided, and if special terminal covers are needed, the accessory specified on the product page should be used. Cross-section and length should not be chosen independently of the manufacturer's recommendation.

In high-current connections, labeling the cables and using an insulating sleeve where needed makes the job easier for the technician who will do maintenance later and lowers the risk of wrong connection; terminal polarity should be verified with a measuring instrument at every step.
